For years, the US Air Force’s software development and acquisition processes were riddled with cost overruns, insecure software, and lengthy delays. Now they’re putting Kubernetes on fighter jets and it’s not just for show. What happened? What caused the sudden change? This talk examines how the US Air Force leveraged DevSecOps principles and open source software to decrease costs, deliver software faster, and ensure it is safer than via previous models.
